Zonibel's commitment to gender equality spans over 25 years of working with governments, foundations, international organisations and civil society on developing policies and implementing programmes to support women's empowerment. Since the Earth Summit in 1992, she has worked on gender and the environment increasingly focusing on gender and climate change. Before moving to the Philippines, Zonibel worked for the Ford Foundation and the International Women's Health Coalition in New York.
